PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gate type mold assembly which enhances the heat insulating property of a fit portion fitting the gate side of a valve casing to a mold body, and facilitates manufacturing control. SOLUTION: A valve unit 21 is built in assembly holes 22 and 23 formed within a fixed mold 1, and further, has the valve casing 25 within which a material passage 28 is formed, a valve pin 41 provided within the valve casing 25 and opening and closing a gate 20, a heater 51 provided on the valve casing 25 and a heater cover 52 covering the heater 51. The heater cover 52 integrally has a cover body 53 covering the heater 51 and a fit ring part 54 fitted to the assembly hole 23, and further, provides with a gap heat insulating layer 60 between the cover body 53 and the fit ring part 54.
