<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an automatic reporting system with motion (physical movements) and pulse sensors portable, more reliable, low in the power consumption, and low-cost. <P>SOLUTION: The motion and pulse sensor are attached to a specific part of a human body, for example, the wrist or the like. The sensor is compact and portable and needs to save the power as much as possible because of the use of a battery power source. There are provided sensors which need no power source among the sensors to be used. The signals from the pulse sensor are not processed while the motion sensor is activated. The signals from the pulse sensor are processed when the motion sensor stops operating such as at bedtime and this enables the confirmation of the heart beats (pulses). Processing the signals from the motion and pulse sensors every 30 minutes - on hour also enables the power-saving state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
