<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which power saving mode can be released automatically when the state changes on the side of engine control section (e.g. draw out of a sheet tray). <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus having a power saving mode for reducing power consumption by reducing or interrupting power supply to each section at the time of waiting where print processing is not performed comprises a means for detecting fixing/removal of a unit (a sheet tray sensor 14), and a control means (a controller 4, a CPU 15) for releasing the power saving mode from that state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
