PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material or the like for an impact absorber low in cost and excellent in impact absorbability. SOLUTION: The material or the like for the impact absorber held in a container when used is a molded object obtained by melting a raw material comprising a thermoplastic resin or the like in a heated mortar and solidifying the molten raw material. The molded object is an aggrigate of materials having various breaking strengths and, since this molded object is successively broken upon the reception of a impact without broken at once, it can develop excellent impact absorbability.
