PURPOSE: To remove operational inconvenience by providing the operation device with a selection means for reversing an acoustic effect changing direction against an operator operating direction and applying mutually reverse effect changing directions to a case using the device in a state fixed on a desk and a case for playing an electronic instrument in its erected state in the same operator operating direction. CONSTITUTION: The operation device is provided with the operator 11 for outputting operation data to be changed in accordance with an operating direction, an effect applying means for applying an acoustic effect corresponding to the operation data to the musical sound of the electronic instrument, an operation data changing means 13 for changing operation data expressed by the operator 11, and the selection means 14 for selecting whether operation data are to be changed or not and constituted so as to change the acoustic effect expressed by the operation data of the operator 11 to its reverse characteristics by the changing means 13. Even when a player plays the electronic instrument in a hand-holding state for the convenience of playing or passes the instrument from one hand to the other though the instrument is ordinally held in a fixed state, operational inconvenience is not created. |
