PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a jig therefor for accurately machining at a low cost when a long grip of a machine tool is needed for cutting internal face. SOLUTION: This cutting tool 81A for internal cutting is fixed on a turning machine and cuts internal face S of a cylindrical hole H to be machined of a cylindrical member W having the hole H. A cutting tool body 82 having a knife edge part 82a for internal cutting and a grip part 82b connected with the knife edge part is attachably/detachably structured to a turning machine fitting member 83A. A jig 10 for reinforcing the cutting tool having a fitting space 12 opened so as to permit fitting of the grip part 82 is fit on the grip part 82b of a jig body 11 having a larger section than that of the grip part 82b.
