PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden imposed on a landowner or a corporation by removing contaminants while lightening the burden of expenses to enhance the land value when it becomes clear that the underground of land is contaminated. SOLUTION: The facility 1 for removing underground contaminants is provided with a manhole network 30 having a plurality of manholes 14-22 (9 manholes shown in the figure) connected to one another by perforated pipes 2-13, deep wells 51-54 arranged near the manholes 14-22 for pumping up ground water and a contaminant removing unit 70 which is connected to the manhole 14 by the pipe 61 and also connected to each of the wells 51-54 by the corresponding one of pipes 62-65 for receiving the ground water from the wells 51-54, removing contaminants from the ground water and supplying the treated water to the manhole 14.
