PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of an electric blower, namely, to reduce the weight of a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The electric blower 3 for sucking air is provided with a motor part 32 having a rotor 51 and a stator 112 composed of a permanent magnet, an impeller 11 provided in the output shaft 53 of the rotor, an air guide 10 for straightening the air blown from the impeller, and a fan part 31 having a casing 12 covering the impeller and the air guide. A rectifying circuit 111 feeding a DC power supply is connected to the motor part 32, so that the weight of the stator 112 is reduced compared with a case where as the motor part 32 a universal motor is used and the total mass of the cleaner body is largely reduced even including the straightening circuit 111.
