A holster (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>) for a telecommunication device (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>), such as a cellular telephone or wireless telephone, includes a housing (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>) adapted to removably support the telecommunication device (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>). The holster (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>) also includes an earpiece assembly (<HIL><PDAT>52</BOLD><PDAT>) including at least one transducer, such as an earbud (<HIL><PDAT>53</BOLD><PDAT>) or a microphone (<HIL><PDAT>54</BOLD><PDAT>), and a cord (<HIL><PDAT>56</BOLD><PDAT>) depending from the at least one transducer (<HIL><PDAT>53, 54</BOLD><PDAT>). The earpiece assembly (<HIL><PDAT>52</BOLD><PDAT>) is extendable and retractable relative to the housing (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>). The holster (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>) further includes an extension/retraction assembly (<HIL><PDAT>32</BOLD><PDAT>) having a spool (<HIL><PDAT>34</BOLD><PDAT>) for taking up at least a portion of the cord (<HIL><PDAT>56</BOLD><PDAT>) when the earpiece assembly (<HIL><PDAT>52</BOLD><PDAT>) is retracted relative to the housing (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>), and at least one coil spring (<HIL><PDAT>35</BOLD><PDAT>) adapted to rotate the spool (<HIL><PDAT>34</BOLD><PDAT>). The at least one coil spring (<HIL><PDAT>35</BOLD><PDAT>) can electrically couple the at least one transducer (<HIL><PDAT>53, 54</BOLD><PDAT>) to the telecommunication device (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>).</PTEXT>
