PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a toner image having a good image quality can be formed stably by sustaining an uniform abutting pressure between a toner layer and a gap regulating means regardless of deformation of a toner flight control means. SOLUTION: A spacer 5 for regulating the gap between an FPC 4 for controlling flight of toner to an image receiving body and a developing roller 12 is fixed to the FPC 4 through an intermediate layer 51 (fig. (a)). Even if the FPC 4 is waving, the spacer is not deformed like a prior art apparatus where the spacer 50 is fixed directly to the FPC 4 (fig. (b)), and a substantially constant abutting pressure is sustained between the spacer 5 and the toner layer TL in the widthwise direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
