PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel and a grinding method capable of utilizing effectively the whole width of the grinding wheel and prolonging its lifetime. SOLUTION: The grinding wheel T for a grinder is to be mounted on the grinder and rotated for grinding any work, and is furnished with a plurality of grinding surfaces T1-4 positioned mating with the surfaces to be ground of the work by changing the inclining angle of the rotational axis Ts with respect to the work in the width direction of the peripheral surface. At least two of the grinding surfaces T1-4 may be formed in different surface forms or may consist of different sorts of grinding stone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
