PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for remelting an Ni-base alloy which does not produce freckle defect. SOLUTION: When an ingot is produced by remelting a consumable electrode composed of the Ni-base alloy with a vacuum-arc remelting method or an electro-slag remelting method and solidifying this molten metal in a water- cooling mold, this method for remelting the Ni-base alloy is performed by controlling a relation between a melting speed and a diameter of the water-cooling mold so that an angleθformed with a tangential line L1 of the solidified interface 6A of the molten metal pool 6 in a position A separated from a center axis line L0of the water cooling mold by 1/2 of the mold radius to the horizontal line L2 becomes≤70°.
