PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump for a dishwasher which surely performs sealing by a simple structure for the pump which performs the switching of a plurality of discharging ports such as a pump for both of washing/water-draining, in order to eliminate the problem that, when the water-draining-discharging port side is not sufficiently sealed, washing water is simultaneously discharged to the outside of the dishwasher during washing, and troubles such as an insufficient washing due to the shortage of washing water or an abnormal overheat in the dishwasher are generated. SOLUTION: This pump for the dishwasher is equipped with a casing having a suction port and the plurality of discharging ports, an impeller which is provided in the casing, a motor for rotate-driving the impeller, and a switching device which closes either one of the discharging ports from among the plurality of discharging ports by utilizing the force of a water stream in the channel in the casing being generated by the rotation of the impeller.
