PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously automatically rake up soil in a furrow and pile a necessary and proper amount of piling soil on seedlings transplanted on intermit tent positions on a ridge. SOLUTION: The soil-piling machine comprises a machine body 2 which bestrides the ridge U and is equipped with a soil supply apparatus 8 for raking up the soil in the furrow and continuously supplying soil to a soil-piling apparatus and the soil-piling apparatus 6 for arbitrarily and intermittently placing a fixed amount of soil on the seedlings F transplanted on intermittent positions of the ridge U. The soil-piling machine piles soil on fixed positions while compressing a necessary and proper amount of soil on the seedlings F transplanted on the intermittent positions of the ridge U.
