METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLEANING PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe cleaning method by which pipe cleaning work can accurately be performed efficiently.

SOLUTION: When a pipe in which the liquid to be cleaned remains is cleaned by supplying a prescribed cleaning liquid to the pipe, a correlation between the dilution rate of the liquid to be cleaned to the cleaning liquid and the absorbance of the liquid in the specified wavelength is measured before the cleaning work. The target absorbance Y corresponding to the dilution rate X being the target of the cleaning work is specified on the basis of the obtained correlation. When the cleaning work is performed, the absorbance of the liquid passing through the pipe in the specified wavelength is detected and the detected absorbance is compared with the target absorbance Y to discriminate whether the cleaning work reaches the prescribed progress.
