摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a high accuracy finish processing in which the actual deflection amount of a grinding wheel shaft is taken into consideration without resort to any sensing signal from a deflection sensor. SOLUTION: The peripheral surface of a work 10 is coarsely processed by putting a grinding wheel 20 installed at the tip of the grinding wheel shaft 18 in relative feeding with a work in the depth cut direction while the grinding wheel shaft 18 is rotated, followed by the finishing process. For example a deflection sensor 24 is provided to sense previously the value corresponding to the deflection amount of the grinding wheel shaft 20 in the coarse processing when the coarse processing and the finish processing are made in a grinding condition conforming to the reference using the predetermined coarse processing target power and finish processing target power, and in grinding each work thereafter, the finish processing target power is computed on the basis of the sensing value at that time of coarse processing, the sensing value in the coarse processing conducted in the reference conforming grinding condition, and the coarse processing target power.
