PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working instrument and a working method for bending a bar-like partition material at a prescribed angle. SOLUTION: In this bending instrument for the bar-like partition material is composed of a frame which is integrally formed into a U-shaped cross section having an opening on the plane of a closed end part and a lever composed of a roller shaft inserted, fit, and fixed to a metallic sheet on which a bar-like handle is attached and which is formed into a U-shaped cross section and a roller is loosely fit with the roller shaft and the lever is rotatably connected by arranging a fulcrum shaft into holes penetrating both frames. By the bending instrument for the bar-like partition material and the bending method of the bar-like partition material using the bending instrument, the bar-like partition material is bent at a desired angle by the rotational operation of the lever after inserting the bar-like partition material to be bent among the opening, the fulcrum shaft and the roller and, next, fixing the frame.
