<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve for flexography. <P>SOLUTION: The sleeve (10) for flexography comprises a sleeve main body (2) made of a material at least a part of which is a nonconductive material. The roll outer wall of a conductive king roll of a press can be fitted to the inside (4) of the sleeve main body. The king roll is designed as an air cylinder and at least one contact zone with the king roll is provided. The sleeve has a conductive surface (6), which is connected to the contact zone through the intermediary of at least one conductive element (20) provided in the sleeve main body (2) so as to divert a static charge to the roll outer wall of the king roll. According to this constitution, the static charge inevitable in the press having a plurality of printing couples is diverted through the king roll before it becomes large enough to bring about a discharge, ignition or deflagration of a solvent used for printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
