PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair treating instrument with excellent handleability, in which a treating agent inside a treating agent container is prevented from overflowing at the time of attaching and detaching the treating agent container to/from a treating agent supply part and it is easily attached and detached with small force.

SOLUTION: The hair treating instrument is provided with a hair treating instrument main body 1 having a hair treating part 6 performing the cutting treatment of the hair or the epilation treatment of the hair. The treating agent supply part for discharging the treating agent for hair treatment to the vicinity of the hair treating part 6 is provided and the treating agent container 3 is freely attachably and detachably attached to the treating agent supply part. The treating agent container 3 is constituted of a container main body 31 to be filled with the treating agent and a connection port part 9 connected to the treating agent supply part. The connection port part 9 is provided with an elastic stop valve 33. The stop valve 33 is set so as to be elastically deformed to close the connection port part 9 in the state of attaching the treating agent container 3 to the treating agent supply part and to open the connection port part in the state of detaching the treating agent container 3 from the treating agent supply part.
