PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop the strength equivalent to that of an armrest having a metallic core material and to diminish the transverse shape of the armrest by using a resin core material. SOLUTION: The armrest pivotally supported like a cantilever consists of the core material in the form of an approximately long-sized board consisting of a reinforced resin reinforced by fillers and a cover joined to the core material by covering at least the design surface of the core material. The core material is formed of a polyamide resin containing the fillers of≥6 GPa flexural modulus based on ASTM D-790. The core material can be formed of injection molding and is not subject to integral expansion molding and therefore the entire part can be made thin and the armrest has the sufficient strength.
