PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube for an endoscope which can prevent an adverse influence due to a reaction of a substance in an inner cavity of the tube with hydrogen peroxide when the endoscope is hydrogen peroxide-plasma sterilized, and to provide the endoscope. SOLUTION: This flexible tube 1' for the endoscope comprises a core 2 made of a spiral tube 21 and a net-like tube 22, and a skin 3 coating on an outer periphery of the core 2. The skin 3 is constituted of a laminate including an inner layer 31, an outer layer 32 and an intermediate layer 33. A hydrogen peroxide absorption substance layer 17 made of a substance which can absorb the hydrogen peroxide is provided between the layer 31 and the layer 32 of the skin 3. The absorption substance is preferred to be a substance constituted mainly of a cellulose and the like. A content of the cellulose and the like in the tube 1' is preferred to be 0.05 to 65 mg per 1 cm length. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
