PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet allowing a user to take a relaxed posture by leaning back to a backrest even in an excretion. SOLUTION: A toilet bowl 3 is suspended by a toilet bowl suspension plate 2 erected between a pair of leg rods 1 and 1, a seat plate 5 formed by foldably connecting a two-divided front half part 51 and a rear half part 52 together is attached so as to cover a toilet seat 4 attached to the upper part of the toilet bowl 3, and projections 53 projecting from the rear ends of the seat plate 5 to the left/right are vertically slid along recessed grooves 12 formed inside the leg rods 1.
