<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of effectuating resource data stored in the imaging apparatus without the need of an operation by a resource operator such as switching on/off of the power source, or the like, and imaging immediately based on the updated resource data, and an imaging method. <P>SOLUTION: Resource data received by a received data processing part 301 are stored in a resource data accumulating part 302. A storage data administering part 303 judges whether or not the resource data have been changed. In the case the stored resource data are judged to be changed, the resource data are processed in a resource data administering part 304 to be in a state referrable per reference unit of imaging by an imaging processing part 305.
