PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of staple failure by automatically operating function which automatically selects a magnification and performing copying process when a finishing mode which stitches sheets is selected. CONSTITUTION:When an AMS (A function which automatically sets the most suitable copying magnification) mode is selected, a copying machine main body 1 automatically sets the most suitable copying magnification and performs the copying process based on selected sheet size and when an ADF 30 (automatic document feeder) is provided, also based on original size detected by means the ADF 30. While, when the finishing mode which stitches sheets is selected, a sheet storing device 40 overlaps and matches sheets ejected from the copying machine main body 1 in a thickness direction, and the sheets are stitched by means of a staple means 90. When the finishing mode is selected, the AMS mode is automatically selected and sheets of identical size are employed for copying without fail, and staple process is never processed with different size mixed. Thus, the occurrence of staple process failure can be prevented. |
