PURPOSE:To obtain a composite magnet wherein magnetic characteristics, moldability and mechanical strength are improved by performing surface treatment for magnetic powder with silane coupling agent, mixing the material with resin, and thereafter adding titanium coupling agent furthermore. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of titanium coupling agents are added into the mixture of the powder of a rare earth magnet whose surface is treated with silane coupling agent beforehand and a resin. The powder of the rare earth magnet comprises the following materials: 1-5 series samarium cobalt magnet material, 2-17 series samarium cobalt magnet material; neodymium-iron based magnet material; and ceriumdidymium based magnet material. The quantity of the addition of the silane coupling agent is 0.1 to 3wt.% for the powder of the rare earth magnet. The quantity of addition of the titanium coupling agent is 0.05 to 1wt.% for the powder of the rare earth magnet. In this way, the composite magnet wherein magnetic characteristics, moldability and mechanical strength are improved is obtained. |
