PURPOSE: A voice recognizer using a pronunciation restricting dictionary is provided to improve the voice recognition rate and recognition speed, and reduce capacity of a memory. CONSTITUTION: A dictionary generator(1) receives a learning sentence and pronunciations corresponding to the learning sentence for generating a plural pronunciation dictionary(2) and a pronunciation restricting dictionary(3). The pronunciation restricting dictionary is provided to restrict unnecessary pronunciation. A pronunciation restricting table(4) is made by converting the pronunciation restricting dictionary into a table readable by a machine. A search engine(5) constructs voice recognition candidates in a lattice structure by using the plural pronunciation dictionary, cuts a link between candidates having a low probability of combination based on the pronunciation restricting table, and recognizes voice of other candidates for outputting the result of the recognition. |
