PURPOSE: An externally controlled handle device is provided to allow for ease and convenience of use of the circuit breaker by permitting the trip operation of the circuit breaker to be controlled by an external source. CONSTITUTION: A frame(4) is fixed at a circuit breaker(1), and a lever(5) interlocked with an externally controlled handle(8) is mounted in the frame. The lever is coupled to a handle(2) of the circuit breaker. A button plate(11) is mounted in the frame, and a button cap(12) fixed at the button plate is exposed outward from the surface of the frame. The button plate has an end arranged in the vicinity of a trip button of the circuit breaker, in such a manner that the trip button of the circuit breaker is pressed when the button cap is pressed.
