PURPOSE:To make a vacuum insulated container compact without any change in the diameter of an intermediate shield by applying the predetermined elliptical shape to the section of an insulation cylindrical part. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum insulated container A is constituted with an insulation cylindrical part 1 forming a vacuum region, electrodes 6 and 7 positioned in the vacuum region and an intermediate shield 9 and the like arranged between the internal surfaces of the cylindrical part 1. The section of the aforesaid cylindrical part 1 is elliptical and a difference between the major and minor axes thereof is taken as equal to the length of a projection 1b from the cylindrical part 1. The diameter of the cylindrical part 1 becomes partly small. As compared with the application of circular section to the cylindrical part 1, therefore, a vacuum insulated container can be made compact without any change in the size of the shield 9. |
