<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten low efficiency operation time before a stable power generation state and to improve the system efficiency of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A cell voltage comparison means 44 detects a cell or a cell group having a voltage less than a desired voltage among the whole cell voltages of the fuel cell detected with a cell voltage detecting device 31. When a cell or a cell group with less than the desired voltage is detected, a cell voltage recovering device operation means 45 opens a purge valve 17 acting as a cell voltage recovering device, discharges water inside the fuel cell, and recovers cell voltage. A cell voltage recovering device stopping time measuring means 45 measures the duration of time a continuous closed state of the purge valve 17, and when the time exceeds a specified time, a stable power generation state deciding means 41 decides that the fuel cell is in a stable power generating state, and permits a power generation stop permitting means 42 to stop power generation of the fuel cell system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
