PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electric part capable of carrying out a test at an appropriate temperature condition by enhancing a cooling property of the electric part accommodated at the inside of a frame-like operation member. SOLUTION: The socket for an electric part has a socket body having an accommodation surface part accommodated with the electric part; a contact pin disposed on the socket body and electrically connected to a terminal of the electric part; and an operation member 20 vertically movably arranged against the socket body. The operation member 20 has a quadrangle frame-like shape in plan view and a ventilation passage 20f for circulating air to the inside/ outside of the frame-like shape is formed on an optional side part 20j of the quadrangle.
