PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of combustion or explosion by preventing the concentration of flammable gas in air from exceeding the lower explosive limit concentration at the height of an ignition source even when the flammable gas leaks in an appliance with the flammable gas sealed therein. SOLUTION: Occurrence of combustion or explosion can be prevented by a refrigerant sealing quantity setting method for setting the sealing quantity of the flammable gas by using the flammable gas as the sealed gas so that the concentration of the leaked flammable gas in air is below the lower explosive limit concentration at the position of the ignition source when the flammable gas leaks.
