PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a heat exchanger by increasing a heat conduction area for performing the heat exchange between a working medium and the cooling water of the heat exchanger for radiating the heat in a sterling refrigerator. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger cylinder 29 is inserted in a heat exchange housing 34 for heat radiation, an inner cylinder 23 is fitted inside of the heat exchanger cylinder 29, a horizontal heat radiation fin 36 is formed on an outer face of the heat exchanger cylinder 29 to form a that radiation passage 38 with the heat exchange housing 34 for heat radiation, a spiral groove or a threaded groove 35 is formed on an inner face of the heat exchanger cylinder 29 to form a channel for the working medium with the inner cylinder 23, and the heat conduction area for heat exchange by heat conduction of the cooling water is increased by elongating the channel of the working medium.
