<p>1308479 Turning bottles on endless conveyers ETABLISSEMENTS RM 22 May 1970 [10 June 1969] 24832/70 Headings B8A and B8S A bottle B, Fig. 1, is moved to an orienting station by a creeper chain conveyer 35 and is turned about a vertical axis under the control of a detecting means until a filling orifice is correctly located after which the bottle is moved on again. The bottle is centred by wheels 1, 2, 3, Fig. 2, supported on arms 4, 5, Fig. 1, which are pivoted about axes 6, 7 by a pneumatic ram 8. Rotation is effected by the wheel 1 which is driven by a motor 9. A sleeve 10 is lowered over the bottle neck by a ram 11 and contains a pneumatic sensing device which detects the position of the filling orifice and controls rotation of the bottle.</p> |
