PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder, by which the dried obtained alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder can be stored in the fine powder state as such without forming lumps or granules, even when stored in a closed container for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This method for storing the alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder is characterized by charging the alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder having a specific surface area of≥0.8 m<SP>2</SP>/g into a container through a process for charging the alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder into the container with a storing and charging gas having a water content of≤6 g/m<SP>3</SP>, and then sealing the container to store the powder. Therein, the specific surface area is a value obtained by measuring the alkali metal (meth)acrylate powder degasified at 150°C for 60 min with a BET specific surface meter using nitrogen as an adsorbing gas.
