PURPOSE: A method for automatically notifying a modification of contents of a web site is provided to inform a modification of the contents to a manager or a visitor in real time by receiving a source from a wanted site through a program operated in each personal computer periodically and analyzing the source. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs an address and name of a site and a checking scope for modifying contents on a job window. The inputted contents are stored in a memory of a program and a hard disk of a computer(S100). A control unit generates an event at every timer and checks a period for sensing a modification of contents(S110). If the control unit senses a modification of contents of a site(S111), the site is connected to each period set by the user and source is read(S200). The read source is compared with source stored in the memory and the hard disk(S210). If contents are modified(S211), new contents are stored(S300). If the number of modified sites contents is more than two, a list of the sensed sites is displayed(S400). If the user does not input any contents during a predetermined time(S410), the above operation is terminated.
