PURPOSE: A separator for floor coverings is provided to execute separation works conveniently and rapidly. CONSTITUTION: The separator for stripping off floor coverings from a floor surface comprises a motor(2) installed on a main body, a rotary shaft(3) rotated with the electric power of the motor(2), a converter(4) installed on the rotary shaft(3) to convert the rotation of the rotary shaft(3) into reciprocation, and a separation plate(5) installed on an output unit of the converter(4).
