<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for suppressing streamed noise in bidirectional CATV system by which streamed noise can be suppressed efficiently at every main line without affected by the used state of an upstream line. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with demodulators 3e-3h which demodulate upstream signals transmitted through a coaxial cable at a prescribed transmission frequency, modulators 3i-3k and 3m which modulate the demodulated upstream signals at the transmission frequency, and an E/O converting section 3p which converts the modulated upstream signals into optical signals and transmits the optical signals to an optical cable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
