PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in manufacturing semiconductor nanoparticles, in order to modify the nanoparticles differentially having a band gap fluorescence, many steps are needed, and it is very difficult to industrially manufacture the nanoparticles in view of a technique and safety. SOLUTION: A method for measuring the fluorescence comprises the step of measuring a defective fluorescence present from a defect level of a surface site mainly having an energy level existing in a forbidden band of the energy level in the semiconductor nanoparticles.
