PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner improved in pulverizing property in the manufacturing stage and improved in fixing strength to a recording medium such as paper while keeping low temperature fixing property and offset resistance. SOLUTION: The toner contains a polymer as a binder resin which is obtained by bulk polymerization of a compound having two or more isocyanate groups and a compound having two or more functional groups having active hydrogen and which has a urethane coupling or urea coupling in the main chain and 1,500 to 20,000 number average molecular weight (Mn) basing on polystyrene as a reference. The compound having two or more functional groups having active hydrogen comprises at least an aliphatic polyol having a branched structure or an aliphatic polyamine having a branched structure.
