PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head excellent in the high-speed characteristic for miniaturizing a magnetic disk apparatus. SOLUTION: In the magnetic head loaded with a slider 10 onto a loading part 12a of a slider 10 provided on the tip side of a suspension 12, the slider 10 is loaded onto the loading part 12a so that the end face on which a recording/reproducing element is formed is directed toward the base end side of the suspension 12.
