PURPOSE: An ink cartridge for an ink jet printer is provided to prevent the defects of ink-ejection caused by excessive pressure by controlling the pressure of an ink storing unit within a predetermined range. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge for an ink jet printer is composed of a housing(110); a bellows(120) of which an end is fixed to a lower side(114) of the housing, filled with ink(i); an ink feeding hole(114a) formed at the lower side between bellows to feed ink filled in the bellows to the outside; and an elastic membrane(130) for sealing the upper end of the bellows and supplying a predetermined pressure into the bellows with elastic restoring force, and the elastic membrane transformed to reduce the volume of vacuum which is formed in the bellows by pressure differential with the atmosphere caused by the exhaustion of ink.
