PURPOSE: A separating device of a steering column for a vehicle is provided to combine a capsule with a mounting bracket conveniently by manufacturing the capsule of a metal sheet, and to improve convenience by adjusting separation load with simple contact protrusions. CONSTITUTION: A separating device of a steering column comprises a mounting bracket combined with the steering column and faced to a vehicle body; a slot(142) opened and formed at both ends of the mounting bracket; and a capsule(150) combined with the slot, separated from the mounting bracket and fixed to the vehicle body by penetrating the center by a bolt(156). The capsule includes a couple of contact portions(151) inserting the outer periphery of the slot between both ends of a metal plate, a bolt hole(155) formed in the center of the contact portion to insert the bolt, and plural contact protrusions(153) protruded in faced surfaces of the contact portion to press the outer periphery of the slot.
