CONTROL UNIT OF PARTICULATE FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in detecting the temperature of a filter and to perform proper filter regeneration operation in a PF (particulate filter) control unit.

SOLUTION: In the PF control unit which captures exhaust gas fine particulates in exhaust gas discharged from an engine by a filter body 25a and heats and incinerates the fine particulates by an electric heater 26a to thereby perform the regeneration control of the filter, a temperature sensor 27a for detecting a temperature in the upstream side of the filter body 25a is located within a heater surface 40 of the filter body 25a at a position equally apart from two adjacent heater strands 38, 38 in such a manner that the temperature sensor is in agreement with or close to the position of the heater surface 40. Therefore, detection accuracy in detecting the temperature in the upstream of the filter body 25a is improved and the proper filter regeneration operation can be performed.
