<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection system in which remote control of a projection means is stably performed for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The image projection system includes a liquid crystal projector 10 and the remote controller 20 of the liquid crystal projector. The remote controller 20 includes a pointing device portion 28, an operating key 22, and a light emitting portion 36 to wirelessly transmit an operation signal. The liquid crystal projector 10 includes a light receiving portion 14 to receive the wirelessly transmitted signal.
