PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple shield drive machine provided with a copy cutter device for carrying out stable copy cutting while preventing the copy cutter device from interfering with another copy cutter device in curve execution. SOLUTION: Shield drive machines 3, 4 are connected to each other in a horizontal direction by a connector to constitute a double shield drive machine 5. A copy cutter device is mounted to each of the shield drive machines 3, 4 to project from respective cutter discs 1, 2 in a radial direction for excavating the ground. A copy cutter 39 is regulated mechanically to have a maximum stroke which interferes with neither the adjacent cutter disc 1 nor 2. The copy cutter 39 is mounted to at least one copy cutter device of the shield drive machines 3, 4 so that excavation may be executed by having the copy cutter 39 project at the maximum stroke without controlling the stroke of the copy cutter 39.
