REAR PROJECTION SCREEN AND REAR PROJECTION DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection screen which has high uniformity of characteristics in a screen, enables a large viewing angle and is capable of producing the same stably with a high yield. SOLUTION: The rear projection screen is provided with a Fresnel lens sheet, a lenticular lens sheet 92 and a light diffusion sheet 93 in the order from the projection lens side. The light diffusion sheet 93 has a light diffusion layer 931 in which light diffusion fine particles of one kind or more comprising the material having a refractive index different from that of binder material are dispersed in a binder consisting of transparent material on a transparent base material film 932. The thickness (t) of the light diffusion layer 931, the average particle size di of the i-th light diffusion fine particles and the total volume Ai of the i-th light diffusion fine particles satisfy the following relations (1) and (2); t×Σ(Ai/di)×1.5≥2.0 (1), t≥20μm (2).
