PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring lighting information effective for faithfully reproducing the lighting conditions set by a professional in a possible range, a method for setting the lighting conditions and a system for the same. SOLUTION: The method for acquiring the lighting information comprising using a model object for acquiring the lighting information, obtaining the reflected light from the model object under the desired lighting conditions, outputting the digital data obtained therefrom as contour line images and using the same as the lighting information under such lighting conditions.
