PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation pile, in which sufficient bearing capacity is obtained in the pile at a low cost and which is applied to a comparatively lightweight structure such as a residence, a low-rise building or the like. SOLUTION: A plurality of branch projections 3 composed of a reinforcement (round steel and deformed bar steel) and a steel pipe having a small diameter or the like projected towards the outside from a pile core material 2 consisting of the reinforcement (the round steel and the deformed bar steel) and the steel pipe having the small diameter or the like are installed at intervals in the axial direction of the core material, and the foundation pile 1 is manufactured at the low cost by utilizing the general reinforcement and steel pipe having the small diameter. The foundation pile can be applied to the comparatively lightweight structure such as the residence, the low-rise building or the like, load is dispersed and borne by extending a large number of the branch projections 3 into a ground on the outer peripheries of the pile core materials 2, and sufficient horizontal resistance force, vertical bearing capacity and pull- out resistance force are obtained.
