PURPOSE: A device for automatically switching off the engine in engine idling of an aerial working platform vehicle is provided to make the engine automatically switched off after predetermined time passes if a basket of the aerial working platform vehicle is positioned at a work position and then a foot switch is off. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically switching off the engine in engine idling of an aerial working platform vehicle comprises a foot switch(20) controlling the aerial working platform vehicle by operating a control panel unit of the aerial working platform vehicle, with installed to a basket to be installed to a ladder; a first timer(30) is connected to the foot switch; a second timer(40) connected to the first timer; a relay(50) connected to the second timer; and an engine(70) connected to a switching unit(52) of the relay. The first timer supplies power source applied from a power source supply unit(10) if the foot switch is off and predetermined time passes, with switched on. The second timer shuts off power source with switched off if power source is supplied from the first timer with the passage of time. The relay switches off the switching unit if power source is applied through the second timer and switches on the switching unit if power source is not applied. The engine is operated if a starting switch(60) is operated.
