In the head moving mechanism for disk driver, a pinion is pressed to a rack by a compressed elastic member for eleminating backlash. The head moving mechanism comprises a rack (1) and pinion (2), a rod (3) being rotatable at one end of the rack's linear driving direction and also slidable just in the rack's linear driving direction, and a compressed elastic member (4) connecting the rack and the rod. A member (31') for absorbing an exterior shock is extended from the rack, and has a gap with the pinion. |
